As we are growing as a company, this blog will be the hub for updates, news and behind the scenes exclusives from the whole team. A place where you can join the full multilocal journey.

We want to give insight on what we’re all about here at multilocal and what better way to start than to introduce you to our very own CEO, James Leaver, with an exclusive Q&A.

James, if you were to tweet about multilocal, what would you say in less than 280 characters?

Through unique access to publisher inventory, multilocal curates premium audiences at scale giving all marketers the ability to meet their goals regardless of country or targeting requirements.

How would you define multilocal?

We provide a service that is clearly of value to agencies and advertisers around the world. I think of it as more of a modern programmatic network, in which we curate audiences at scale in every country to help marketers achieve their digital marketing goals. Through our platform, all the back end responsibilities that an agency has limited time to do is done by us. We can make an agency’s life easier and more effective by doing it all and building their reports and results; making life easy in a time constrained industry.

Curation, what is it and how does it work?

Curation is like a concierge or service for travellers wanting to go somewhere logistically hard to navigate and culturally hard to understand. A marketer can brief us on what they need and we will use our expertise to deliver it.

In real terms this means that through our unique relationships with publishers we have built a significant database of PMP’s, carrying a variety of targeting options against premium inventory. In effect, we can act as both a DSP and a DMP within the SSP…if that's not too many acronyms! We now work across 5 SSP’s supporting 100’s of publishers and 100’s of thousands of domains, delivering campaigns to advertisers all over the world.  This year, we will manage over $20m in media spend across our various seats.

We are now offering a managed service solution for agencies that want to work with curation but dont have the capabilities or bandwidth. We can provide a fully managed curation seat giving an agency their own unique supply and buying path to buy the audiences they need for their clients.

Where does multilocal sit in the market?

We are first and foremost a curator. Just as curation is a new product, we believe we are defining a new category in the market.  Essentially, we are a service provider to marketers whether through delivering audiences for them or, by delivering a full service offering.

What are the multilocal company values?

As a new company our values are evolving almost as quickly as the company.  We’ve doubled in size in the last two months and we expect to double again in the next four. As our team and our opportunities expand we have to be nimble enough to adapt our culture and values.

That said, at our core, there are 5 key things that I believe and that we as a team embrace. We focus on trust, reliability, communication, attention to detail and teamwork. We are a service company so, above all, it's essential that everyone on the team is passionate about what they do - namely, delivering outstanding results and service for clients. At multilocal, if we say we’re going to do something, we do it and we own it. It’s important that everyone on the team cares and is putting their all into our vision

The new website is a huge step in the right direction for mulitlocal. This new chapter is all about establishing who we are, what we do and making a name for ourselves within the media space. This blog will be the centre of everything multilocal achieves and we are so excited to be able to document our journey and take you along for the ride.
